Because of the close proximity of the footpath and the dual carriageway, the operatives needed to be fully trained about the hazards of fast moving traffic and the safest work methods when performing various tasks.
Not only are these operatives trained to undertake a high standard of workmanship, they are also fully aware of the hazards too.
As well as being fully CSCS trained they are also trained to work on high speed roads. This ensures that the job is completed to
the client’s stringent high standards and with out any accidents involving operatives or members of the public or their property.
The reconstruction of this footpath involved the excavation of existing verge and the provision of a new bitmac footway and kerbing. This £100,000 contract was achieved within the estimated timescale and caused minimum disruption to traffic flow. |
